A Penny For Your Thoughts...

A motion passed at Synod 2007 called for the creation of a committee to study the issue of 'Rural and Struggling Parishes'. To this end, Bishop Miller has appointed a 14 person Task force and asked them to bring forward aa report in early 2009. As part of its madate, the Task Force will hold regional consultations with parishes across the diocese. The regional consultation for the deanery of Shediac has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 22nd at St. Andrew's Church Hall in Peticodiac, beginning at 7 PM.
Each parish has been invited to attend this meeting with 4 representatives, and bring responses to these questions:
1. What good things are currently happening that contribute to the strength of your parish and other parishes in your archdeaconery?
2. What are your current circumstances and need? What are your hopes and aspirations?
3. What messages do you want the Task Force to hear?
In an effort to assist our four representatives with their report, we are seeking you input: how would you respond to these questions?
Please email us your thoughts by Monday, April 7th and plan to participate in our parish's forum on this topic following the 10 A.M. Eucharist on the Second Sunday after Easter (April 6th). A shared meal (pot-luck) will also be available at this time.
