Located on the South side of the main Church. The Chapel has its own entrance on Queen Street, and is open for daily prayer or quiet reflection from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm Monday to Friday.
The Daily office of Morning and Evening Prayer are conducted in the Chapel at 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday: and on Thursday mornings at 10 o'clock the Holy Eucharist is celebrated.
On Sundays, the 8:00 celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the 9:15 am Morning Prayer, and the 5:00 Evensong are all held in the Chapel.
In 2005 the Chapel underwent extensive renovations, a memorial gift from the family of Sandra E. MacDonald. Included in the work was a refurbishing of the two sanctuary windows, in either side of the Altar. They can be opened now to provide some air-flow on humid days. Interstingly, these windows were constructed of stained glass fragments collected by the parish women from the ashes of fthe fire which destroyed the first St. George's Church in 1875. (Ironically, the process used in the reconstruction was called 'burnt glass'.
Please plan to vist the Chapel for prayer, or for a few minutes of retreat from the world's busyness. You are welcome to drop in betweenthe hours of 8:30 am and 2:00 pm from Monday to Friday.
