The Layreaders of St. George’s
St. George’s is fortunate to have nine Layreaders to assist with the Services of Divine Worship, especially on Sunday mornings. However, the Layreaders take turns officiating at the Order for Morning Prayer at 9:15 am on Sundays, the Rector being present as much as possible.
This Fall, a series of six lectures on Church History, designed for the Layreaders of the Deanery of Shediac, was held at St. George’s and presented by Archdeacon Reg Stockall. These talks were well attended and very informative. Perhaps you would like to view them!
A bit of trivia!
Adjacent and below, you will find two pictures of St. George's Layreaders. These were taken during the time when there was a Deanery of Shediac Layreaders' Association. Can you name any of these men?
